American Horror Story Season 2 Spoiler Alert: Find Out Who Will and Won’t Be Back!
With American Horror Story‘s first season resting in peace, Ryan Murphy is turning his attention to the show’s second act.
In a conference call with reporters on Thursday, the show’s cocreator confirmed that Connie Britton and Dylan McDermott will not be back as series regulars in Season 2.
“The second season of the show will be a brand new home or building to haunt,” Murphy said. “It will also have a new overriding theme… and a different cast of characters.”
Those castmembers that do return will be playing completely different characters. “There will be familiar faces and some new faces,” says Murphy. “[But they will be] playing completely different creatures and monsters… People that are coming back will be playing completely new characters.”
An announcement about the new cast and storyline will be unveiled in February.
…Then how is that a new season? It’s like we are getting a new show instead.
